Brown suffered a collarbone injury called sternoclavicular joint dislocation, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

The source added that he is “in doubt” whether Brown will be available for the Chiefs’ season opener on September 5.

After the game, Kansas City coach Andy Reid compared Brown’s injury to the one Tyreek Hill suffered in 2019, which was also against the Jaguars.

Hill missed four games with a similar injury before returning just over a month later.

Mahomes’ preseason is likely over, as Reid previously revealed he would only play against the team’s starters for one quarter.

The three-time MVP was 3-for-4 passing for 27 yards and Isiah Pachedo scored 16 yards on his only drive of the game against the Jaguars.

The Chiefs settled for a Harrison Butker field goal while Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the other starters were benched.
