It turned out that he did not suffer any injuries in the accident and was allowed to attend team meetings afterwards.

Andrews was scheduled to attend football practice on Wednesday but was given time off to recover.

The Ravens expect him to return to practice within a few days.

Fans shared an outpouring of support for the tight end following the accident, sharing how grateful they are that he is okay.

“Glad to hear he and everyone else are safe,” said one fan.

“I’m not going to lie, I was terrified after that first sentence,” said another fan.

“Glad he’s ok but damn my heart stopped for a second,” said a third fan.

“Thank God he’s okay,” said a fourth fan.

Andrews released a statement after the accident thanking fans for their kind words.

“I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and well wishes,” he said.

“This is a great reminder about the importance of wearing a seat belt and remaining alert when driving a car.”

Fortunately for the Ravens, the car accident will not keep Andrews out of any games during the NFL season.

That scenario could have been a huge headache after Andrews already missed time last season with an ankle injury.

He was forced into surgery after a bad tackle last November that left him out of the lineup until the AFC Championship game.

He was initially expected to miss the rest of the season, but an intense rehabilitation routine brought him back for the big game.

Andrews has played just 10 regular season games in 2023, and with a monumental year ahead, the Ravens will need everyone involved to stop the Kansas City Chiefs from a three-game losing streak.

The Ravens lost to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game and are as motivated as anyone to beat them in 2024.

Their quest begins in Week 1 when the AFC Championship Game rematch kicks off the NFL season on Thursday, September 5th.
