Former New York Jets offensive lineman Mekhi Becton is expected to sign a one-year, $5.5 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The former first-round NFL draft pick is said to be scheduled for a physical on Monday.

Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland “was a supporter” of signing Becton, 25, an N.F.L. Adam Schefter reporter on Sunday.
Schefter added that the former Louisville standout is expected to be Philadelphia’s swing tackle if he passes the physical and joins the team.
The Jets underwent a major overhaul of their offensive line this offseason.
And they declined Becton’s fifth-year option, making him a free agent.
New York selected the Virginia native with the 11th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Knee injuries marred his four-year stint at the Meadowlands.
After making 14 appearances, including 13 starts, for the Jets in his rookie year, Becton injured his right knee in Week 1 of the 2021 season.
The striker suffered cartilage damage, which required surgery, and missed the rest of the campaign.

During the following offseason, he was diagnosed with a fractured right kneecap.
The problem caused him to miss the entire 2022 season.
Becton returned to the field last year, starting all 16 of his games in the 2023 campaign.
He earned $18.5 million in career earnings during his time in New York.
The Jets have been rebuilding their offensive line to provide better protection for Aaron Rodgers, who is returning from an Achilles injury in 2024.
They signed All-Pro guard John Simpson and left tackle Tyron Smith in free agency.
New York then added another offensive lineman in the 2024 NFL Draft, selecting Penn State’s Olumuyiwa Fashanu 11th overall.
After losing Rodgers in Week 1, the Jets finished the 2023 regular season with a 7-10 record.
The poor showing extended the playoff drought to 13 years.
It also ended Zach Wilson’s three-year nightmare with the team after the quarterback, and former No. 2 overall pick, failed to excel in Rodgers’ absence.
The Jets traded Wilson, 25, to the Denver Broncos during 2024 draft week.
They received a sixth-round pick in the deal in exchange for their seventh-round selection.
