The 45-year-old leaves the sports network after three years to pursue “future endeavors”.

Anderson revealed the unexpected career change in a social media post on Tuesday.

“I want to thank the CBS Sports team for my experience and time there,” Anderson wrote in a statement on X.

“I am amicably moving on to future endeavors.

“I wish the best to all the talented insiders, anchors, reporters, producers, executives and support staff. Cordially, Josina Anderson.”

“A huge loss for CBS. You are one of the best in the business. I’m excited to hear about your next chapter. We’ll be watching wherever you land,” Baltimore Ravens reporter Sarah Ellison wrote in response.

“I wish you the best in your new adventures, Josina! I can’t wait to see where your talents take you. Always a fan of your insightful coverage!” wrote another fan.

“You did a great job with CBS. Always rooting for Josina. God has big plans for you,” added a third.

Anderson is one of the most experienced and well-connected NFL Insiders in the country.

She was a mainstay at ESPN for a decade before joining CBS in 2021.

Over the past few months, he has been a regular contributor to Skip Bayless’s Undisputed on FS1.

Anderson began her journey as a sportscaster in college, serving as the announcer for her high school basketball team.

She was a track star at the University of North Carolina before turning to journalism.

After a stint at WPGC-FM radio, she landed her first position as a sports news anchor at the CBS affiliate in Coos Bay, Oregon.

Stints at Fox 31 and Showtime followed before Anderson joined ESPN in 2011, where he became a household name.

His departure follows a recent major shake-up in CBS sports broadcast talent.

Earlier this week, the network hired former NFL stars Matt Ryan and JJ Watt for new roles.

Former quarterback Ryan will join James Brown, Nate Burleson, Bill Cowher and Watt behind the camera.

Longtime favorites Phil Simms and Boomer Esiason depart as part of the reshuffle.

“Excellent 26 years of racing with CBS SPORTS. Even though this part of my career is over, I’m looking forward to what’s next,” Simms posted on X.

Esiason has been with The NFL Today for 22 years and will remain with the network in a simulcast New York sports radio show.
