Manning is releasing a new season of his hit documentary Peyton’s Places.

One episode will focus specifically on punters, exploring the history of the position and the end of the “coffin corner.”

The term describes the area just in front of the end zone, from the 5-yard line to the goal line, where bettors would traditionally look to aim their kicks,

McAfee spent 8 seasons in the NFL with the Colts and was a two-time Pro Bowler.

In the promotional clip, Manning is seen driving a hearse onto the field at Lucas Oil Stadium.

A coffin is taken from the back and carried across the field, before being thrown into the corner near the post.

“I want to kick your footballs!” shouted McAfeedoing a fake Dracula voice after getting out of the wooden box.

“I always dreamed of being carried off a football field like a hero,” he added, earning a laugh from Manning.

“I never imagined being uploaded to a… a niche group will love this episode.”

“A punter with the swagger of a linebacker…Happy Birthday @PatMcAfeeShow!” captioned the official Omaha Productions X account, referencing McAfee’s 37th birthday on May 2.

It’s not the first time McAfee and Manning have collaborated on a coffin-singing-themed theater piece.

Last Halloween, the pair returned to Indianapolis for an on-screen ESPN challenge.

Pat taught Manning the basics of punting, setting up a casket right in the corner where he was carried in the new promotion.

“Here, Peyton, you try,” McAfee said, offering the two-time Super Bowl champion the opportunity to shoot into the midfield area.

“Nobody wants to see me shoot the ball. They want to see you do bad at it.”

Pat McAfee’s Playing Days

PAT McAfee had a hugely successful period before switching to a career in media.

The talk show star served as a punter in the NFL for eight seasons from 2009 to 2016.

He was a seventh-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft out of West Virginia and spent his entire career with the Indianapolis Colts.

The former punter was named to the Pro Bowl in 2014 and 2016, and was also a first-team All-Pro in 2014.

Peyton’s Places was released in 2019 to critical acclaim.

The show finds Manning looking back on the cultural impact of NFL players and moments through the years.

It received an Emmy nomination in 2020 and returns this spring for a fourth season.

Since leaving the NFL, McAfee has reinvented itself as a successful sports broadcaster.

He launched The Pat McAfee Show in 2019 and signed a five-year, $85 million deal to bring the show to ESPN last year.

It is now in the midday primetime slot, just after ratings leader First Take.

McAfee is also an announcer for WWE and appears every Monday night on RAW.
