Rookie NFL quarterback Caleb Williams went crazy after receiving a warm welcome in the city where he will play in the league.
Williams, who was selected with the first overall pick by the Chicago Bears in last month’s NFL Draft, appeared at the Chicago Cubs game on Saturday.
Former USC star Williams was spotted at Wrigley Field and attending Cubs-Milwaukee Brewers.
He was among several Bears players present during the game, including wideouts DJ Moore and Keenan Allen and tight end Cole Kmet.
Bears players were introduced to the crowd in the seventh inning.
Williams, who wore a Cubs jersey, received a standing ovation from fans.
And Williams revealed a bear claw pose during the sequence.
The 22-year-old clapped and smiled as fans continued to cheer the star.
Fans on social media were amazed by Williams’ appearance and emotions at the Cubs game.
“The guy is already installed”, posted one.

“Wow, that’s amazing!” another wrote.
“That’s the loudest I’ve ever heard Wrigley,” commented a third.
Bears fans will have hope that Williams is the long-term answer at signal caller.
Chicago has only had two quarterbacks (Jim McMahon and Mitchell Trubisky) in the last 60 years to receive a Pro Bowl selection.
And the Bears drafted Justin Fields in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, only to trade the Ohio State product three years later.
Williams has been the best quarterback in college football the past two seasons.
He won the 2022 Heisman Trophy.
After the 2024 Draft, Williams revealed that he knows he will continue to be under the microscope.
“I will always have scrutiny”, Williams told the Chicago Tribune.
“I do things like paint my nails. I’ll always be scrutinized about that. I wear funky clothes, stuff like that.
“So, you know, just do my job on the football field and win games.
“I think if you win a lot of games (in Chicago), you make a lot of people — the majority — happy.”
