Sky Sports reporter Martin Brindle was looking to interview celebrities ahead of the Miami Grand Prix festivities.

However, on live television, Brindle thought a VIP on the grid was Mahomes, but the former F1 driver was wrong.

“That’s the guy, isn’t he?” Brundle said, looking at a man walking past him.

It turned out that the person he thought was Mahomes was Miami Dolphins star linebacker Jaelan Phillips.

Brundle’s mistake was similar to the one made at the first Miami Grand Prix in 2022.

The 64-year-old thought he was interviewing Mahomes when he was Paulo Banchero of the Orlando Magic.

The moment came just weeks after Banchero was drafted No. 1 overall by the Magic.

Brundle shouted “Patrick” to Banchero, who did not respond, but the TV commentator continued and asked questions until he realized his mistake.
