NFL sportscaster Kay Adams criticized Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore for lying about his true feelings heading into next season’s home matchup with the Carolina Panthers.
Carolina sent the starter to Chicago along with a generous NFL draft compensation package in exchange for the 2023 first overall pick last year.
Moore, 27, spent five seasons with the Panthers after they drafted him with the 24th overall pick in 2018.
The former Maryland standout didn’t have to wait long to face his former teammates for the first time.
Carolina came to town in Week 10 of the 2023 campaign and lost 16-13.
Moore finished the game with 58 yards on five receptions.
The Bears wide receiver appeared on Wednesday’s Up & Adams and was asked about his reaction to seeing the Panthers among Chicago’s rivals in the 2024 campaign.
“It’s one more game on the calendar, that’s what I thought,” he said.
But Adams didn’t buy it.
“That’s not true,” the NFL sportscaster said.

“DJ, that’s just a blatant lie.”
Pressed again, Moore finally said he expected to put up better numbers than in his first game against the Panthers.
During his five-year stint with Carolina, the wideout recorded 5,201 receiving yards – the fourth-most in franchise history – and 21 touchdowns.
The Panthers used the 2023 draft pick they acquired in the Moore trade to select Bryce Young last year.
Young then struggled in his rookie season, recording 2,877 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
Carolina finished the campaign with a 2-15 record.
Career rise of Kay Adams

Kay Adams is a fantasy football expert who rose to fame as the host of Good Morning Football in New York City for six years.
Having previously hosted fantasy-based shows, Adams took on the role of host of GMFB when it launched in 2016.
And, along with Nate Burleson, Kyle Brandt and Peter Schrager, she helped make that program one of the best in the sport.
Adams left GMFB to pursue new ventures in 2022.
She moved to Los Angeles and teamed up with FanDuel to start a self-titled show – Up and Adams.
His latest show airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET, sometimes in special locations like the Super Bowl or Kentucky Derby.
That meant their 2024 first-round pick — which they sent to Chicago — would be the top overall selection in this year’s draft.
The Bears then used the pick to get Caleb Williams.
Moore will know the exact day of his second game against the Panthers next week.
The NFL is expected to release the 2024 schedule on Wednesday, May 15.
That’s six days later than teams expected, according to the Sports Business Journal.
The league reportedly did not provide a reason for the delay in the memo sent earlier this week.
