Tom Brady’s roast almost didn’t come to an end after the legendary quarterback took offense to a Jeff Ross joke.

According to comedian Andrew Schulz, who performed a segment at the roast, all comedians were instructed to avoid jokes about Robert Kraft.

However, Jeff Ross went against this advice, making a joke about happy ending massages to Kraft.

“Tom became a Patriot, moved to New England, and on the first day of training camp, this skinny rookie walked into owner Robert Kraft’s office and said, I’m the biggest decision your organization has ever made. .. you like a massage,” Ross said.

Ross was referring to a misdemeanor charge Kraft faced for soliciting prostitution at a Florida spa in 2019.

Kraft pleaded not guilty and the charges were eventually dropped after it was ruled that his constitutional rights were violated.

The joke was well received by the public, but Brady didn’t like it at all and took to the podium.

Brady whispered in Ross’s ear, but the microphone picked up what he said.

“Don’t say that again,” Brady warned Ross.

Fans compared the tense moment to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars, and Schulz explained exactly what happened.

“When Tom [Brady] I checked Jeff Ross, I think it was 100% real,” he said.

“The reason I think it’s real is because they told us ‘No happy ending jokes with Bob Kraft.’ Because I had a Bob Kraft label.

“They said ‘Tom asked not to do anything with the fucking massage.’

“I was like, ‘Alright, cool. Like the guy was coming here for this, whatever.

“And then Jeff did it, and then Tom came over and said ‘Hey, stop this shit.’ Or ‘Don’t do that again’.

“But think about it, this is the first comic to air live, and it’s your night.

“He was ready to end it all. That’s an alpha** move right there.”

The rest of the party went off without a hitch and was a hit with fans, but ex-patriot Julian Edelman revealed that things got tense behind the scenes.

The night provided a reunion for Brady, Kraft and Bill Belichick, and Edelman said it was tight.

“The tension in that room, though, could cut through fucking glass,” Edelman said.
