NFL cornerback Ben Skowronek is headed to the Houston Texans.
The 26-year-old wide receiver arrives in Arlington as a new weapon for quarterback CJ Stroud.
Skowronek spent his entire NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams.
He was drafted in 2021 and appeared primarily on special teams last season.
Reports suggested the Rams were ready to move Skowronek to waivers on Thursday, per NBC Sports.
The Indiana native didn’t start any games last season, earning just 2 receptions.
But he was on the field for 71 percent of the Rams’ special teams snaps.
Instead, Los Angeles is trading Skowronek to the Texans, per Ian Rapoport of the NFL media.
The Texans receive the 6-foot-3 wideout and a sixth-round pick in the deal, with the Rams guaranteeing a 2026 seventh-round pick.
Houston has a loaded receiving corps as it looks to build on Stroud’s outstanding rookie campaign.
