WASHINGTON Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is ready to take his ever-expanding business empire to new heights in the NFL.
The Heisman Trophy winner will earn an eye-opening $37 million rookie contract after being drafted No. 2 overall by the Commanders.
And the former LSU star is prepared to take advantage of the numerous endorsement deals he landed in college to secure his long-term financial future.
Daniels began landing NIL deals during his time at Arizona State, where he played from 2019-2021.
The dual-threat quarterback got his start with low-key deals with The Solution, an intravenous nutrition and hydration clinic in California, and Fry’s Food Stores.
He then inked a deal with local family-owned Venezia’s New York Style Pizzeria, which launched the specialty pizza called JD5.
Daniels received a percentage of each pizza sold.
“It’s still crazy to think that my name is on a pizza and that I have my own pizza.” Daniels said.
As the NIL revolution continued into 2021, Daniels secured the keys to a leased 2020 Ford Mustang GT Premium as part of a deal with Jones Auto Centers in Arizona.
Daniels received the $50,000 Ford Mustang for a season in exchange for promoting the dealership on social media.

He also did marketing work for Jones Auto Centers – which has locations across the state – during his off weeks.
“I’ve seen a lot of other college athletes get a new car, so they offered it to me, reached out, I mean, why not take advantage of that?” Daniels said.
Daniels took his college career to a new level by transferring to LSU in 2022.
It was there that Daniels cashed in on his higher profile with more conventional businesses such as Gordon McKernan injury lawyers, Raising Cane’s, HeyDude Shoes, Urban Outfitters and Powerade.
Daniels was one of five college football players who signed a deal with the sports drink company and its It Takes More campaign on TV and social media.
Daniels, who has 268,000 followers on Instagram, credited the power of the LSU brand for allowing him to make his fortune.
It’s still crazy to think that my name is on a pizza and that I have my own pizza.
Jayden DanielsNFL Draft #2 pick
“You are playing at a top-tier university, in the best conference, where all eyes are on you,” he said Fox Business.
“And then just the people who came before you paved the way for us, even Shaq, Tyrann Mathieu.
“These types of people have a lot of power.
“The brand that LSU has allows you to spread your platform and excel in all facets of life.”
Before the NFL Draft, Daniels continued to cash in by striking deals with Buffalo Wild Wings and Bisquick.
Despite all of Daniels’ off-field financial success, his focus remained on furthering his football career.
“I tell people to take advantage of this (NIL) if they can, but make sure it doesn’t take away from the team’s focus,” he said.
