JASON Kelce admitted he thinks he has CTE after criticism over his claims from Secretariat.
The decorated former center, 36, accused the 1973 Triple Crown winner of doping on the New Heights podcast he founded with his brother Travis.
“The secretariat was full of energy,” said Kelce.
“It turns out that Secretariat is right in the heart of the steroid era.
“[In] 1973, every NFL player, every baseball player, was sucking it to the gills.
“Don’t you think the Secretariat was totally excited? Of course he is the fastest horse of all time.”
His comments sparked a backlash on social media, with one user claiming he may have CTE – the brain disease that has been diagnosed in autopsies of several former NFL players.
“[Y]you know who else makes unsubstantiated claims not supported by facts. People suffering from CTE. I admit I don’t know if @JasonKelce suffers from CTE or not, it’s impossible to know,” they posted.
“I mean, I can pretty much guarantee I have CTE, all the research suggests I have some degree of it,” Kelce responded.
“I think it is entirely reasonable to assume that I have some degree of this pathology.”
The original poster insisted he did not intend to offend Kelce.
“I understand, I am not offended in any way. What I’m saying is that it’s completely reasonable to think I have CTE,” the podcaster added.
“Even though there is no test to see if I currently have CTE, the evidence suggests I probably do.
“As is the reality that many if not most of the top level horses of the 70s and 80s were doped because there was no adequate testing available.
“But there’s really no point bringing this up, I don’t know why I started, Secretariat was still a fantastic horse and a legendary specimen.”
Retired NFL player Antonio Brown, who has become an outspoken presence on social media, had a typically controversial response.
He posted: “The first step is to admit it. #CTESPN.”
‘Roasted Tom Brady? I don’t understand’

JASON Kelce watched roast Tom Brady on Netflix like most sports fans.
But the Philadelphia Eagles legend didn’t understand what was going on.
Speaking on his New Heights podcast with brother Travis, Jason said: “It was pure entertainment and I’m really happy they did it, but I just don’t understand what’s going on.
“I don’t know why people do this. Maybe I take myself too seriously.
“It was star-studded – but that said, I didn’t really get it.
“I don’t understand why people bake. I don’t understand why they are a thing.
“’Haha, yeah, my family is ruined, it’s so funny, everyone’s laughing, it’s great, we’re having fun, yeah, right.’”
The hashtag is related to a social media page he created to mock ESPN.
Kelce expressed her concerns about CTE in her Amazon Prime documentary last year.
“There were little things that aren’t big yet, but that will turn into big things as I play,” he said.
“I don’t want to dress like the elephant in the NFL room, but I’m afraid of the long-term impacts of playing football.
“I have two girls and…some people end up getting CTE and some guys live long, healthy lives.
“I have no idea what’s going to happen with this because I’ve thought about it,” he said, thinking about the amount of physical impacts in the game and whether “it could come back to bite me.”
