FIRST Take Host Molly Qerim has little sympathy for Stephen A. Smith’s misery after the New York Knicks’ latest loss.

The Knicks were defeated 121-89 by the Indiana Pacers in Game 4 of their NBA playoff series on Sunday night.

Stephen A. began Monday’s edition of First Take by lamenting his team’s collapse at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

He pretended to cry as co-analyst Shannon Sharpe gave him tissues to wipe away his tears, with dark clouds appearing on the broadcast above the pair.

“It wasn’t supposed to be like this” lamented Stephen A, wiping his eyes while sad piano music played.

“They should win Game 3. They should come back here 3-1.

“Those damn Knicks. There’s always something, man.”

“Seriously?!” exclaimed host Molly, joining the scene when the music abruptly stopped.

“You’re embarrassing. Let’s start the show,” she added, exiting the scene with a disdainful look at the camera.

“Lol @stephenasmith the guy is so funny #FirstTake,” wrote one viewer on X.

“@ShannonSharpe That opening worked well,” laughed another.

“Only Molly can restore order,” commented a third.

‘I just threw up,’ screams Stephen A. Smith on live TV after NY Knicks suffer record loss in NBA playoffs

Stephen A. predicted before the postseason that his Knicks would reach the Conference Finals.

Things looked promising when they took a 2-0 series lead thanks to back-to-back wins at Madison Square Garden.

But on the road, injuries took their toll, with star Jalen Brunson battling foot pain.

Stephen A. appeared on ABC’s NBA Countdown on Sunday night and defeated New York in a dismal first half after scoring just 41 points through two quarters.

“The first thing I would do is get out of the bathroom,” he fumed after being asked what Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau would say in the locker room.

‘You’re seeing this backwards’

MOLLY Qerim was forced to interrupt a Stephen A Smith rant on First Take and save her blushes.

Appearing virtually, Smith began berating Chris “Mad Dog” Russo for apparently sitting in his chair in the studio.

“Now I’m here in South Beach,” Smith said, “so I’m usually never grumpy.

“What the hell are these seating arrangements?

“Why aren’t you Tim Legler sitting in my chair? Why is that man, Mad Dog Russo, in my chair?!”

But Qerim intervened and said, “You’re seeing everything backwards.”

Smith realized his mistake and was left red in the face.

“The video is backwards,” replied a red-faced Smith, “They promised me they would fix it.”

“Because I just threw up after seeing my team play the way they did in the first half.

“It was absolutely horrible.”

First Take has seen a huge bump in ratings since Sharpe left FS1’s Undisputed in September of last year.

On the morning of last month’s NFL Draft, Undisputed averaged 45,000 viewers, while First Take averaged 482,000 daily viewers throughout April.

You can watch the sports debate show on ESPN starting at 10 a.m. ET every weekday.
