DESPITE continued uncertainty surrounding its future, the Pac-12 Conference will return to TV screens in 2025.
Following the recent departures of all but two member schools, Oregon State and Washington State, the Pac-12 has joined forces with the Mountain West Conference for the upcoming season.

Both Pac-12 members will face six MWC teams this season, split evenly between home and away, as per ESPN.
However, these games will not contribute to the MWC standings and neither Oregon State nor Washington State will be able to compete for the conference championship.
In the latest twist, broadcast deals for these Pac-12 games have been reported.
The CW Network and Fox Sports will split the games, with the former facing 11 of the 13 total home games.
“We are excited to announce these national partnerships with The CW and Fox,” said Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould.
“Football student-athletes from Oregon and Washington State deserve this elite internship as they continue to compete for the College Football Playoff, and Beaver and Cougar fans have a great opportunity to enjoy their teams’ success.”
The season will begin with the Beavers hosting Idaho State on August 31, while the Cougars will host Portland State.
On September 7th, Washington State will host Texas Tech, before Oregon State hosts Oregon on the 14th, both on Fox or FS1.

Friday, September 20th, Washington State will host San Jose State, and Oregon State will host Purdue the next day.
October will be welcomed by the Beavers who will host Colorado State on the 5th.
UNLV will travel to Oregon State on Oct. 19, while Hawaii will travel to Washington State on the same day.
On September 9th, San Jose State will travel to the Beavers while Utah State heads to the Cougars.
Oregon State’s home finale will see them face Washington State on November 23rd.
The Pac-12 slate of games will end with the Cougars hosting Wyoming on the 30th.

It’s still unclear what this deal did to either network.
As for the long-term future of the Pac-12 itself, let alone its broadcast rights, that also remains unclear.
“There are a lot of different options and models in play,” Gould said in February.

And when asked about the potential of a Pac-12 MWC merger, Gould said such conversations have not yet taken place.
“Our obligation to our programs and student-athletes is to keep an open mind to all options,” she explained.
“And we really feel like there will be a lot of different options on the table.”
