NFL star Travis Kelce admits he is completely out of his comfort zone in his new role as a Hollywood actor.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has landed what he describes as a “great role” in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX horror series Grotesquerie.

And Kelce opened up about her “challenging” new career venture after beginning filming the show alongside co-star Niecy Nash-Betts.

“It’s been a lot of fun” Kelce told her brother Jason in the latest episode of New Heights.

“Ryan Murphy is [an] Unbelievable writer, director, producer, all of the above, man.

“There’s just nothing he can’t do and everyone has been so helpful in making me feel comfortable.

“Even beyond that, just giving me the direction I need and the training I need to portray the role I’m in.”

Kelce joked that he’s glad he hasn’t been fired from the series yet.

“I feel like a jabroni. I feel like an amateur. And, uh, I haven’t been fired yet, so we’re doing good…” he added.

“They didn’t tell me to kick rocks after the first week, so it’s been amazing.”

Kelce remained silent about the plot

“It’s such a cool and unique show,” he revealed.

“I don’t want to give too much away, but the name itself can tell you that it’s a big mystery and every scene was a lot of fun to be in.”

Kelce admitted that acting was a big learning curve for him.

“I’m just going scene by scene and trying to make sure I remember my lines,” he said.

“I’m very amateur at this.

“The biggest difference between being out of the acting world and starting to get into it is that you’re very in tune with the scenes and you don’t want to get too caught up in the lines.

“You want to be on stage with whoever you like to act with, right?

“So I started thinking, ‘Dude, just memorize your lines. Memorize your lines.’

“But in reality, you want to be able to take that scene from one point to another and portray exactly what the meaning of the scene is.”

Kelce was also moved by the faith Murphy had in him.

“I was kind of impressed and shocked that he was willing to give me a role like that, because it’s a big role on the show,” he added.

Travis Kelce, actor

NFL star Travis Kelce has apparently landed his first major acting role.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end plans to become a “heavy” figure in music and entertainment.

Kelce saw her star power rise after going public with her girlfriend Taylor Swift last summer.

The 34-year-old has already been cast in the new horror series Grotesquerie.

Directed by American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, the drama is set to arrive on FX this fall.

Kelce will appear on the show alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville.

On Tuesday, Nash-Betts appeared to confirm Kelce’s involvement with a surprise reveal on Instagram.

“This is what happens when WINNERS come together,” she captioned a clip featuring Kelce in a backstage dressing room.

“He seemed very confident that I would be able to do it and he kind of injected that into me in the first conversation we had.

“So I hope I don’t ruin it for him.”

The Chiefs star said he wasn’t sure how many episodes he would appear in.

“It’s a fun challenge for me right now,” he said.
