NETFLIX will give away a huge amount of money for just two NFL games on Christmas Day.
The streaming giant will pay the NFL to broadcast two Christmas games in the 2024 season.
It was reported by Wall Street Journal that Netflix will play around $75 million per game on the two Christmas games on December 25th.
The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first game.
And the Baltimore Ravens will face the Houston Texans in the second game.
Netflix will host this year’s Christmas games and will also have a holiday game in 2025 and 2026.
According to Reception Sportsbidding for the 2024 Christmas games started at $50 million.
The NFL hoped to reach $100 million, but the number ended up split between the two numbers.
Amazon paid $120 million for a 2024 Wild Card playoff game that will be broadcast on its streaming platform, Prime Video.
In January, Peacock broadcast a Wild Card game and paid $110 million.

While the results were impressive, reaching 28 million viewers, many fans were unhappy with the change.
Netflix has paid significant money into sports in recent times.
The company signed a 10-year broadcast deal with WWE for $5 billion.
And Netflix will also stream the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing card.
The NFL will likely make concessions to Fox and CBS.
Networks typically aired Christmas games on their networks.
Both broadcast last season’s NFL games.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will play their second Christmas game in a row.
What we already know
ONLY one matchup has been confirmed for the 2024 NFL regular season so far.
That’s the Week 1 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers on Friday, September 6th.
The game will be played at Arena Corinthians in São Paulo, Brazil, and will be broadcast live on Peacock across the United States.
We also know the identity of the home teams in the three games in London, England, and one in Munich, Germany.
The Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings will host games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while the other home team in London will be the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium.
The Carolina Panthers are also confirmed for the game at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
They lost to the Las Vegas Raiders on holiday last season before going on their second consecutive Super Bowl run.
