HOUSTON Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is on track to return to the NFL at the start of the 2024 season.
Dell was involved in a shooting after the 2023 season, suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
Dell suffered injuries in April in a shooting that left 10 people injured.
At the time, the Texans released a statement assuring them that Dell was in good spirits and not seriously injured.
“We are in contact with him and his family and will provide further updates when appropriate, but we ask that you respect his privacy at this time,” the statement said.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident.”
Dell appears to be recovering quickly from the shooting, sharing a video of him running on his Instagram Stories.
“Otw,” he captioned the post, signaling his return.
Fans were stunned by Dell’s quick return and shared their praise for him on social media.
“I can’t keep this man down,” said one fan.

“I hope he’s okay,” said another fan.
“Is it just me or does he seem even faster?” a third fan said.
“Man that kid is FLYING,” said a fourth fan.
“The guy is about to pull a Brian Robinson and get the hell out after getting shot,” said a fifth fan.
Dell had an incredible rookie season before suffering a year-ending injury.
He played in 11 games, catching 47 passes for 709 yards and seven touchdowns.
If Dell had played a full season, he would have thrown for 1,095 yards and 10 touchdowns.
With Dell back in the wide receiver corps, the Texans will have one of the best receiver rooms in the league.
They just added Stefon Diggs via trade from the Buffalo Bills to line up alongside Dell and Nico Collins.
The Texans finished last season with a 10-7 record and won the AFC South.
