JOE Buck is eager to hear Tom Brady’s debut in the booth.

But the ESPN sportscaster isn’t convinced the legendary quarterback hasn’t played yet.

Brady, who hinted in April that he might come out of retirement for a second time, is expected to replace Greg Olsen as analyst after agreeing to a $375 million, 10-year contract with FOX Sports.

And Buck believes he is still capable of producing at an elite level, even though he turns 47 before the start of the NFL season.

“I would never bet against him,” said Buck, 55, Cancer Research Questions. “I feel like he said it with a kind of twinkle in his eye.

“I don’t know him very well, but I think it would be an exaggeration.

“But if there’s anyone who could do it, I’d say it’s him.

“If there’s anyone who’s going to get in shape to be able to do this, I’d say it’s him.

“Would I be shocked if that happened or if he came back and somehow guided a team to the postseason? No.

“Because I think he knows with his knowledge, his mind and his experience where to go with the ball, when to go with the ball, and he could get through a game maybe if he was 60.”

Brady says he would only return to the field for the New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders or San Francisco 49ers.

And Buck thinks the future Hall of Famer would need a lot of dominoes to fall before putting on the uniform again.

NFL fans convinced Tom Brady took a ‘hit’ on Dak Prescott during his first game announcement in the Fox broadcast booth

“I think all these guys want to be wanted, but this is the NFL,” he added. “Long answer, could he do it? Yes.

“Would he do that? I think all the planets would have to align for something like that to happen.”

Brady is fully committed to his new role and attacking it with typical intensity.

“I’ve been to Fox Studios a few times and done some testing with Kevin, who is incredible at what he does. I’m so excited to join an incredible team,” Brady said on The Pat McAfee Show in January.

Brady joined new costars Erin Andrews, Rob Gronkowski and Michael Strahan for a tropical trip.

And Buck hopes his hard work pays off.

“I know he’s working hard to be a broadcaster,” he said. “I’m eager, like everyone else, to find out what it’s like.”

Brady has kept up his workouts and recently posted a workout video that proved he’s still in incredible shape.

“I’ll always be in good shape, I’ll always be able to throw the ball,” Brady told the Deep Cuts podcast in April.

“So to come in a little bit, like MJ coming back, I don’t know if they would let me, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”
