SIX NFL rookies managed to pick the brain of one of the game’s greats.

In what has become an annual event, Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin and NFL legend Tom Brady hosted a selection of the year’s top draft picks for lunch and an inspirational talk.

This year, quarterbacks Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, Bo Nix and Drake Maye, wideout Malik Nabers and tight end Brock Bowers traveled to Los Angeles to learn from the GOAT.

And while last year’s group also received talks from rapper Travis Scott, this time it was Jay-Z who shared some words of wisdom.

“Tommy and Jay are so grateful for the invaluable advice and knowledge you shared – this was an incredible opportunity for these towers before they took their first snap,” commented Rubin on Instagram.

“Great things ahead for this group – I can’t wait to see you all crush it on and off the field!”

Brady also took to Instagram to share photos from the reunion and offer insight into the event.

“I will always appreciate the opportunity to talk to these young people who are about to begin a monumental chapter in their lives.” He wrote.

“I would never be where I am today without the incredible people and mentors who came into my life at the right time and in the right place.”

Brady added that they talked “about life and a little football, but from the tape I’m watching I think they have a great opportunity ahead of them.”

Rubin also tweeted a highlight reel of clips from the lunch, giving fans a look at what he, Brady and Jay-Z said to the young stars.

“When you have 53 players on the team and you think it’s about you, it’s not about you — it’s about us,” Brady said in one of the most notable highlights.

Tom Brady may be barred from the Fox broadcast booth for the team’s NFL games due to a potential ‘conflict of interest’

“And the biggest problem I see with a lot of young players today: you guys are talking about me and I a lot because of social media, because of the brand and everything.

“It’s okay. You won’t win.”

The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers star also recalled how he would treat each game “like it was a Super Bowl,” adding, “So when I got to the Super Bowl, it was just another day for me.”

While Jay-Z told the newcomers: “Your talent gets you there. Your work ethic and discipline get you where you want to be.”

The event also provided Brady with the opportunity to meet Maye, who was selected third overall by the Patriots as the latest in a line of his successors in New England.

Brady had the starting job at Foxoboro set from 2001 to 2019 before leaving for Florida.

Since then, the Patriots have struggled to find someone capable of filling his huge shoes, with Cam Newton, Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe among those who have tried, and failed, to do so.

Fortunately for Patriots fans, Maye doesn’t seem intimidated by Brady’s looming shadow.

“I’m not going to be Tom Brady,” he said after being drafted by New England, according to NFL.com.

“So I’m just going to try to be Drake Maye and from there I’m just trying to learn from him, hopefully get to know him a little bit.

“Other than that, just try to absorb it, be a sponge and try to learn everything you can from him. He’s the man of that town.”

Maye’s tenure as New England’s starter will begin on September 8th when they go to the Cincinnati Bengals.

The following week, Maye will experience Foxboro for the first time when the Patriots host the Seattle Seahawks on September 15.
