VETERAN broadcaster Jim Nantz believes the Kansas City Chiefs have struggled with their 2024 schedule.
The defending Super Bowl champions are aiming for a three-peat record next season.
No team in the modern NFL era has won three consecutive titles.
Nantz is expected to call “five or more” Chiefs games on primetime CBS Sports next season.
The veteran announcer sat down with the Rich Eisen’s program earlier this week to discuss Kansas City’s schedule.
Nantz believes “routine” will be key for the Chiefs as they aim for history in 2024.
But the 65-year-old claims manager Andy Reid will be concerned about the grueling Christmas schedule.
“I’m sure Andy Reid is not happy with that schedule,” Nantz said, per SI.
“Particularly as the season comes to a close…Saturday, December 21st, to play Houston and then turn around and play on Christmas Day.
“By the way, for the second year in a row, they play on Christmas Day.

“Tony [Romo] and I was there for the Raiders in KC on Christmas Day last season, but they’re going to be in Pittsburgh this year, so that won’t be much fun.
Kansas City will face the Houston Texans at Arrowhead on December 21st.
Just four days later, they are in Pittsburgh to face the Steelers on Christmas Day.
The Chiefs have lost six regular-season games in 2023, the most since 2017.
With the turf hanging over them, Nantz is sure they will have a target on their back.
“Everyone wants to get them, they get the best shot of everyone,” he added.
“I’m just saying [the lack of] rest more than anything. Just the rest to be able to have maximum performance.
