Jones participated in 7-on-7 drills, completing passes to receivers Wan’Dale Robinson and Malik Nabers, according to Dan Salomone of the Giants’ website.

The 26-year-old is still on track to be fully cleared by the start of training camp at the end of July.

Soon after that, the Giants will play their preseason games ahead of the 2024 season.

The opening game of the new season will be against the Minnesota Vikings on September 9th.

Jones suffered an ACL injury in Week 9 of last season.

He was injured during a November loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Jones told reporters last month that he was “making good progress” in his race to be ready for the new season.

“The plan is to be ready to go to training camp,” he said.

“That’s when I’m aiming and I feel good about being ready.”

Jones signed a four-year, $160 million contract extension with the Giants last year.

Tom Brady may be barred from the Fox broadcast booth for the team’s NFL games due to a potential ‘conflict of interest’

And even though Jones hasn’t reached the levels the Giants really need, it looks like he’ll be the starting quarterback again in November.

Speaking after last month’s NFL Draft, general manager Joe Schoen suggested that was still the vessel.

“Yeah, for me, I said that in January after the season,” Schoen said.

“The expectation was that Daniel would be our starter and we brought in Drew Lock to be his backup and Tommy [DeVito] has been the backup.

“So that’s where we are and that’s how we’re moving forward this season.

“Daniel still has a contract for another three years.”

The Giants finished the 2023 season with a 6-11 record, for third place in the NFC East.

Fans will be hoping for an improvement in this when the new season begins.

After their home date with the Vikings, the Giants will go to the Washington Commanders and then the Cleveland Browns.

The last game of September will be at home against the Dallas Cowboys.
