KAY Adams was shocked after a guest called out the Denver Broncos – specifically head coach Sean Payton and the team’s general manager.
Former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf appeared on Up & Adams on Monday and wasn’t afraid to deliver jaw-dropping quotes about the Broncos.
The 1998 second overall pick, Leaf, appeared remotely on Kay’s FanDuel TV show.
The two discussed NFL topics, including the Broncos, who are poised for a rebuild after releasing nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson in March.
Adams asked Leaf if the Broncos made a mistake by moving on from Wilson.
Leaf, 48, believes they shouldn’t have traded the Super Bowl champion, but he went a step further, calling out the Denver organization and the team’s general manager, George Paton.
“They make mistake after mistake,” Leaf said. I don’t know how the general manager continues to have the job.”
Leaf then brought up several facts about Paton.
The Broncos GM hired Nathaniel Hackett, who was fired for the first time as the team’s head coach, traded for Wilson and gave him a big contract, and traded a second-round pick for current head coach Sean Payton.
“How many general managers have this job with this resume at the start of the season?” Leaf asked Adams.

Then, out of the blue, Leaf jokingly said that Paton might have information about the Broncos’ new ownership, the Walter-Penner family estate.
“I don’t know what he thinks about the new owner,” he joked.
This caused Adams to say, “Oh my God!”
“Ryan!”
Leaf continued, saying Denver’s situation is “problematic.”
