Early in Tuesday’s OTA, Rodgers delivered a 40-yard bomb to Xavier Gipson, almost as a reminder to the NFL that he’s still around.

The Jets are holding 11-on-11 practices in camp, and at this stage, with players off the pads, the offense has a good advantage.

However, it was still noticeable how much Rodgers was diminishing the Jets’ defense.

He delivered touchdown strikes to wide receivers Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard throughout the day.

Rodgers also appeared to have solid mobility, which was a major concern after tearing his Achilles tendon during the first game of the 2023 season.

“He has no restrictions,” Saleh said in training.

“The arm talent is still there. We’re just reacclimatizing to everything and we’re trying a lot of new things too.”

Rodgers also spent time coaching the running backs to get them to run plays the way he wanted them to.

“He’s doing everything,” Saleh said.

Rodgers spoke to the media after the training day and explained that he feels great about returning to work.

“I feel really good,” Rodgers said.

“It’s just a mental issue. These workouts have been good the last few days.

“Feel what it’s like to be out there, moving, not thinking about it and seeing how I react the next day. This is the last part.

“The strength is good, the movement is good, you just need to have the confidence to do everything.”

Rodgers shared the same sentiment as Saleh, saying there are no longer any restrictions for him on the field.

“I feel like I can do anything,” he said.

“I can run at high speed. It’s just that, in these moments, reactions come naturally.”

Rodgers said he feels motivated to go out and compete, but he also wants to enjoy the time he spends with his teammates and have fun playing football.

“I’m enjoying this moment,” he said.

“It was a very interesting eight, nine months. A lot of struggle to get back, so I’m trying to take this time that comes with that, get to know my guys and look for ways to help us get better.”

Rodgers is also hoping to have a smoother football season this year than last.

He made a lot of noise with some of his political opinions and actions while out due to injury, but this year he says “it’s all about football.”

“I respect those opinions, but these are off-season things,” he said, talking about almost being a vice presidential candidate.

“And these are real opportunities. Most of the podcasts were friends of mine, and the Bobby thing was real.

“How that got out, I don’t know – it didn’t come from me. When the season starts, it’s all about football.”
