The familiar face of Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce remains a constant at the team’s training facility.

Kelce announced his retirement from the NFL this offseason after 13 years with the Eagles.

However, despite hanging up his boots, Kelce continues to regularly visit the NovaCare Complex.

In a recent interview during Mike Quick’s golf tournament, he explained that this was in part because he enjoyed being around his former teammates, as per NBC Sports‘Philadelphia Affiliate.

“Part of it is just getting a free ride on NovaCare,” Kelce said.

“I’ve gotten used to going there. I love going there. It keeps me involved.

“Whether it’s around the guys, the coaches, my mind is on the game, based on what the teams are doing to try to prepare for next season.

“And things the defense is getting ready to do.

“The game is always evolving and if you want to stay informed about it you have to stay involved, stay close to the game, stay close to the guys that are in it, the coaches that are in it.

“For me, I kind of get two. I can work out and get my head around it a little bit.”

But while Eagles fans will probably love to see Kelce continue to show up at the team’s facilities, don’t expect him to call off his retirement anytime soon.

Discussing his heir apparent, Cam Jurgens, Kelce was extremely excited about the third-year forward.

“I think Cam is going to have a phenomenal year,” he said.

“Really talented player. He’s got a lot of strength, physically, he’s a very strong player. He plays above his size. And he’s incredibly athletic.”

And Kelce’s excitement wasn’t just limited to Jurgens, but the Eagles as a whole.

“I feel really good about this season, frankly,” he said.

“I’m really, really upset that I wasn’t there with them.

“I feel very, very strongly that it’s going to be a phenomenal season for the Philadelphia Eagles. So I’m looking forward to watching that.”

As for Kelce, he will soon embark on a whole new career after recently agreeing to join ESPN’s Monday Night Football coverage.

‘Roasted Tom Brady? I don’t understand’

JASON Kelce watched roast Tom Brady on Netflix like most sports fans.

But the Philadelphia Eagles legend didn’t understand what was going on.

Speaking on his New Heights podcast with brother Travis, Jason said: “It was pure entertainment and I’m really happy they did it, but I just don’t understand what’s going on.

“I don’t know why people do this. Maybe I take myself too seriously.

“It was star-studded – but that said, I didn’t really get it.

“I don’t understand why people bake. I don’t understand why they are a thing.

“’Haha, yeah, my family is ruined, it’s so funny, everyone’s laughing, it’s great, we’re having fun, yeah, right.’”

Sources tell The US Sun that the six-time First-Team All-Pro is scheduled to earn $1.8 million annually under his new contract.

He will also receive a $1 million signing bonus.

Kelce will become one of the voices of MNF’s pregame and halftime coverage.
