FOX NFL announcer Greg Olsen couldn’t help but mention Tom Brady’s name in his Sports Emmy Award acceptance speech.
The retired tight end triumphed in the Outstanding Personality/Event Analyst category during Tuesday’s gala.

Upon accepting the award, Olsen, 39, spoke about losing his role as Fox NFL’s top game analyst to Brady, 46, next season — and made light of the situation.
“I think there are a lot of people wondering what I’m going to say now,” the New Jersey native joked, making the audience laugh.
“Coming in tonight, people asked me, ‘What’s the biggest threat to your future in business?’
“And everyone was, ‘Oh, Brady and this.’
“I think it’s Andy from Toy Story. If he comes in, [Chris] Collinsworth, [Troy] Aikman, we are dead.”
Olsen was apparently referring to national networks offering alternative NFL broadcasts in recent years, featuring AR-generated cartoon characters and family films.
This included a Toy Story-themed live simulcast during ESPN’s coverage of the Jacksonville Jaguars-Atlanta Falcons game in Week 4 of the 2023 NFL season.
The Toy Story Funday Football broadcast won an Emmy in the Outstanding Graphic Design – Event/Show category earlier in the evening.

Olsen beat out Troy Aikman, Cris Collinsworth, Bill Raftery, John Smoltz and Tom Verducci for the award.
“It’s really cool to be able to do this,” Olsen continued.
“I spent my whole life as a football kid, I grew up as the son of a high school football coach.
“All I ever wanted was to be around football – as a player, as a kid.”
