TOM Brady has been defended for his alleged role in deflating footballs by NFL great Jason Kelce.

Nearly a decade ago, Brady allegedly ordered a deliberate deflation of footballs during the AFC championship game between his team the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts.

Brady ended up being suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season, with the quarterback returning and helping the Patriots to another Super Bowl triumph.

Jason Kelce reopened the “DeflateGate” saga during a conversation with his brother Travis Kelce on the “New Heights” podcast.

“I don’t even think Tom [Brady] should have gotten in trouble for deflating footballs,” Jason Kelce said.

“I’m a professional at deflating footballs, I’ll say it, I’ll say it, I’m a professional at deflating footballs.

‘Yeah, he outsmarted people, why the hell does it matter how much air is in that motherfucker?

“If you’re throwing and catching, who cares?

“We’re all mad because he had the sense to take some air so his receivers could pick up the fucking thing, why is that against the rules?

“You could have taken the air out too, you could have taken the air out too.

“You guys just weren’t smart enough, so why am I being penalized because you’re idiots?

“It’s a rule, but it’s a stupid rule. If the rule doesn’t protect player health or if only one team can do it, I understand what you’re saying.

NFL fans convinced Tom Brady took a ‘hit’ on Dak Prescott during his first game announcement in the Fox broadcast booth

“But if both teams have the opportunity to do something and the other teams aren’t as smart as the other team, then that’s a stupid rule.

“You’re in trouble for stealing our signs.Making signs you hoped we wouldn’t look at?

“Get better signals, what the hell are you talking about?”

One thing seems certain: Brady is not responding to these comments.

The retired superstar has long left the episode behind and is currently preparing to work for Fox as their No. 1 analyst for the 2024 season.

With this season’s schedule now revealed, eager NFL fans are looking to secure tickets to their favorite games.

You can start buying tickets for some games on several websites now:

Before purchasing tickets from resale sites, check the prices as they are third-party sellers and, more importantly, the cost may vary depending on demand. You can pay more than an official ticket, but you can also get good last-minute deals.

But if you can’t make it in person, don’t worry, there’s still time to set up your stream before the season starts.

You can also stay up to date with the latest NFL coverage right here at The US Sun.

Jason is obviously not afraid to speak his mind in his new life as a broadcaster.

He retired earlier this year after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I loved football, whether it was in the backyard with my brother, on the playground with my friends,” Kelce said during an emotional farewell press conference in March.

“Thirteen seasons in Philadelphia and I remember a career of ups and downs.

“Thank you Philadelphia from the bottom of my heart.”
