The British football pyramid has seen countless US celebrities and sports figures invest in teams in recent years.

Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, golf stars Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas and NFL legends Tom Brady and JJ Watt are among those who have invested in teams in the UK.

Now, in an interview with The US Sun, New York Jets linebacker CJ Mosley discussed his own love for the sport and interest in potentially entering the world of team ownership in the future.

Mosley opened up about his relationship with football following the recent announcement that the Jets will return to London this fall.

The Jets will face the Minnesota Vikings at the home of Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur on October 6 to kick off their slate of international fixtures.

An avid football fan, Mosley is in the fortunate position of having played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley Stadium during his previous two games in London.

“The atmosphere was incredible,” Mosley said of playing in the UK.

He explained that when it came time for the national anthem, “you could feel the presence of European football.

“And that was a really cool experience.”

Mosley added that during the off-season he took the opportunity to go to Manchester to watch a City game in person for the first time.

“That was my first game in the Premier League and I felt the same chills when we were at Tottenham,” he said.

As for whether or not Mosley would consider following in the footsteps of the likes of Brady and Watt and investing in a football team, he admitted that “the money is a little stacked in my odds.”

That said, he later said, “That would definitely be something on the bucket list.”

And if Mosley decides to cross that particular desire off his bucket list, he’ll have someone to turn to for advice.

As he mentioned during the interview, one of his former college teammates at Alabama, now-retired running back Mark Ingram, is a co-owner of MLS team DC United.

Ingram was announced as an investor in the team in 2021 while a member of the Houston Texans.

Meanwhile, although football ownership remains a dream, Mosley will be able to somewhat fulfill his love of the Premier League with the International Series.

New York will go to London in October as a visitor.

However, Mosley admitted that the stadiums at these games tend to look “neutral”.

But far from this being a disadvantage, he explained: “You get the best of both worlds with the crowd. Everyone is there to have a good time.”

With this season’s schedule now revealed, eager NFL fans are looking to secure tickets to their favorite games.

You can start buying tickets for some games on several websites now:

Before purchasing tickets from resale sites, check the prices as they are third-party sellers and, more importantly, the cost may vary depending on demand. You can pay more than an official ticket, but you can also get good last-minute deals.

But if you can’t make it in person, don’t worry, there’s still time to set up your stream before the season starts.

You can also stay up to date with the latest NFL coverage right here at The US Sun.

Mosley added that regardless of which team fans support, they are all there for one simple reason: “To watch good football.”

These trips also give players the opportunity to fight for more than just a victory.

“We can represent our team, represent our hometown, our families crossing [and] playing internationally,” Mosley said.

“So it’s a great honor to try to bring back the victory.”
