LAMAR Jackson looks like a whole new man ahead of the 2024 NFL season.

Arriving at Baltimore Ravens training camp, Lamar Jackson lost a considerable amount of weight in an effort to increase his mobility.

Jackson is down to 205 pounds, a stunning drop from where he plays in 2022.

The quarterback played at 230 pounds in 2022, dropping to 215 pounds in 2023 before reaching his final game weight this year of 205 pounds.

“I really don’t know how many pounds I lost,” Jackson said after the workout.

“I’m like two-something [hundred pounds] right now. But I [will] just say it was important enough to be able to move around a little more, that’s all.”

When asked why he lost weight, Jackson said, “Just so I can be more agile and be able to move more.”

Jackson is the best quarterback in the NFL and may be on his way to being the best it’s ever seen, but his ability has certainly wavered in recent years.

In his first three seasons, Jackson ran for 2,906 yards with 19 touchdowns.

Over the past three seasons, he has rushed for 2,352 yards with 10 touchdowns.

The drop in Jackson’s agility is also demonstrated in the level of speed he has been able to achieve on the field.

In his first three seasons, he recorded nine runs that reached 20 mph or more.

He has only managed to record one more of those in the last three seasons.

The results are certainly related to his weight, and Jackson hopes to further expand his dominance in the league with his weight loss.

Jackson’s weight loss has been noticeable in the Ravens locker room this offseason, with wide receiver Zay Flowers calling him skinny.

Coach John Harbaugh has noticed as well, saying he doesn’t care what weight Jackson throws at as long as he’s in shape.

“I think it’s Lamar, he’s a professional,” Harbaugh said.

“He knows what he’s doing. He knows where he’s going with this.

“My concern is that he is in shape, in the best shape of his life and is working towards it.”

Jackson clearly feels like he’s in the best shape of his life, explaining that he can’t remember the last time he felt this fast.

“It’s been so long,” Jackson said.

“We had COVID that happened to us; It slowed us down a little bit, but I feel great now.

Despite his weight holding him back, Jackson was unanimously named the 2023 NFL MVP.

He threw for 3,678 yards with 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions while rushing for 821 yards and five touchdowns.

Who knows what he could achieve in 2024 if he were even faster now.
