NEW York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers criticized an NFL executive’s suggestions that his team owes it to the league to have six primetime games scheduled for the 2024 season.

All of the Jets’ night games come in the first 11 weeks — the most for any team since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970.

And Rodgers, 39 – who is coming off an Achilles injury – says New York deserves to be highlighted.

“I love it. I love it,” said the four-time NFL MVP Sirius XM’s Adam Schein earlier this week.

“We are must-see TV. This is pretty obvious – everyone knows it.

“Whether you love me or hate me, people want to see me play.

“They like watching me play. We are a team to watch this year.

“Six primetime games in the first 11 or 12 weeks. I loved it.”

The Jets boasted five primetime games last season, but were unable to deliver without Rodgers, who suffered a season-ending Achilles injury early in the Week 1 victory over the Buffalo Bills.

Commenting on New York’s frequency occupying the premium TV space in 2024, NFL vice president of broadcast planning Mike North said the team “owed” the league after last year’s struggles.

But Rodgers doesn’t feel the same way about his team’s schedule.

“As far as we owe people? Yeah, okay,” said the quarterback.

‘Aaron Rodgers can take us anywhere,’ says CJ Mosley, as NY Jets star also claims teammate Sauce Gardner ‘has no ceiling’

“Whatever, I don’t care what anyone has to say about it.

“It was shit for me, it was tough for the league, I get it, I only played a few games last year.

“That’s going to be different this year. What happens when we pay them back this year with six great primetime games?

“What will they say next year?”

With this season’s schedule now revealed, eager NFL fans are looking to secure tickets to their favorite games.

You can start buying tickets for some games on several websites now:

Before purchasing tickets from resale sites, check the prices as they are third-party sellers and, more importantly, the cost may vary depending on demand. You can pay more than an official ticket, but you can also get good last-minute deals.

But if you can’t make it in person, don’t worry, there’s still time to set up your stream before the season starts.

The Jets open the season with a Monday Night Football matchup against the San Francisco 49ers before facing the Tennessee Titans in Week 2 on Sunday.

They will play their first game at MetLife Stadium in a Thursday night matchup against the New England Patriots, their AFC East rivals, making three games in 10 days.

And Rodgers said he loved the challenging schedule.

“Make it difficult, let’s see how we stack up against one of the best teams in the league,” he said.

“I loved it. It’s fantastic. No excuses – three games in 10 days, we’ll be ready to rock and roll, I’m not worried about that.

“I’m sure we’ll have a good timeline plan for all of this.”
