I was an NFL cheerleader and broke a rule until I dated Rob Gronkowski – I kept it a secret but it was worth it in the end

CAMILLE Kostek admits she didn’t let NFL rules get in the way of true love after meeting Rob Gronkowski.

The 32-year-old former New England Patriots cheerleader became smitten with tight end Gronk during his playing days at Gillette Stadium.

Kostek and Gronkowski started dating in 2013 and have been together for over a decade.

The model became a professional cheerleader at age 19 for the Hartford Colonials.

In her freshman year at Eastern Connecticut State University, Kostek earned a spot on the Patriots cheerleading team.

“I felt like I really had the best experience I could on the team,” said Kostek, via New York Post.

“I supported the New England Patriots for two seasons and took a trip to China with three other teammates.

“I rooted for the Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl XLIX.”

Kostek spent two seasons with the Pats – but he had a secret.

“There is that rule where [you] I can’t date the players,” said Kostek Fox News Digital.

“I broke that one, but I kept it a secret for a while. It was worth it in the end.”

Camille met Gronk at a Goodwill charity event in Boston in November 2013.

“He ripped off the ‘Hi, my name is Rob Gronkowski’ sticker on his T-shirt,” Kostek said. Mark Zito and Ryan Sampson.

“On the back he wrote his phone number.

“I was a rookie. I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no, I can’t handle this. I can’t handle his number.’

“And then [his teammate] it was like, ‘Just take it.’

“And I said, ‘Okay,’ and I put it in my pocket. And I never talked about it again.”

Gronk off script

Rob Gronkowski went so far off script in the Tom Brady movie that some feared he would return, says Drew Bledsoe.

Former Patriots and Buccaneers tight end Gronkowski made a series of jokes about his former teammate Brady.

But apparently not everyone was part of the plan.

“We all appreciate Gronk because he just is Gronk,” Bledsoe told The Dan Patrick Show.

“But the funny thing is, we were all sitting on stage and we could see the teleprompter.

“Gronk was so off script that we didn’t know if he would come back.”

“Always come back!!” replied Gronkowski with a series of laughing X emojis.

Gronkowski spent 9 seasons in Foxboro, winning three Super Bowl titles.

He played one more season after leaving New England, earning a fourth ring with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay.

Last fall, the couple celebrated a decade together with an adorable Instagram post.

“We’ve been through a lot together over the last 10 years,” Kostek wrote.

“Many celebrations, trips around the world, experiences in different cities, some breakups and many challenges that led to growth.

“There is no manual for life, no deadlines to meet, no expectations to uphold.

“Life is an unpredictable journey and that’s what makes it so sweet yet scary, challenging and rewarding.

“But what we know for sure is that we will continue to live in the present, learn, grow, love, dance, dream, spread kindness, explore and have fun while we are here.”

Gronk is currently an analyst for Fox Sports and will return alongside former teammate Brady for the 2024 season.

After leaving the fans behind, Kostek began a career in TV and graced the cover of Sports Illustrated.

She hosted Entertainment Tonight and led the SI Swim Search Awards in 2019.
