KANSAS City Chiefs defenseman Chris Jones is not a fan of Darren Waller’s lyrical take on his failed marriage to WNBA star Kelsey Plum.

The New York Giants tight end wrote a song about his high-profile divorce from the Las Vegas Aces guard, which came just a year after the two got married.

Waller, 31, released the single, titled Who Knew (Her Perspective), last week, before releasing a music video on Thursday, May 30.

In the clip, the NFL star can be seen arguing with a woman — playing Plum, 29 — at a picnic table and bowling with her.

It ends with the former Pro Bowler lying on the beach with water hitting his face after the woman apparently stabbed him in the back and walked away.

Waller explained that the song shows the point of view of a woman trying to love him.

“All my life I have struggled with intimacy in romantic relationships and I recognize the toll it has taken on the lovers I have been close to,” he said. TMZ Sports.

“Essentially, I’m telling myself, for the damage I’ve caused, that it’s critical for me to heal the wounds in my life that I’ve been avoiding by pursuing relationships.”

Waller added: “As the song is an attempt to see things from a woman’s perspective, the video is an extension of that, ending with me alone and wondering why they hurt me and left me there.”

The music video quickly went viral on social media, sparking some strong reactions – with Jones making no secret of her dislike.

Who Knew took Waller nearly four months to produce, the NFL star revealed last week.

He has been working as a rapper for a few years, following his great-grandfather Thomas “Fats” Waller – who was a jazz icon – into the world of music.

Waller has hinted at possible retirement from the NFL, but has not yet decided whether or not he will play for the Giants in 2024.
