The Brady family has another star in the making.
One of the most famous athletes in the world, Tom Brady is a seven-time Super Bowl champion and one of the all-time greats in NFL history.

Looking to follow in his footsteps and become a professional athlete is his niece, Maya.
The daughter of Tom’s sister Maureen, Maya is a softball star for the UCLA Bruins.
A two-time Pac-12 Softball Player of the Year and three-time first-team All-American, the 23-year-old has long idolized her uncle.
“He is like a father figure to me. It’s nice to know what I do and it makes you proud,” she said. Atlético in 2021.
After he announced his retirement from the NFL in February 2023, Maya shared a touching tribute to her uncle on Instagram.
“Watching you play football has been one of the greatest joys of my life” she said.
“I can’t even begin to tell you how many lunch arguments I’ve had in the last 20 years of my life, haha.
“The best to ever do it! I love you so much.”

Tom has long been one of Maya’s biggest supporters, participating in her games and praising her skills on social media.
In 2021, Tom retweeted a clip of Maya hitting a home run for the Bruins, subtitling“Maya Brady, the most dominant athlete in the Brady family… by far!”
But Tom isn’t the only famous athlete Maya has to look up to in the family.
Maureen was a college softball star, winning two World Series with Fresno State in the 1990s.
While another uncle of Maya is a two-time MLB World Series champion and former All-Star, Kevin Youkilis.
But despite the famous family ties and the inevitable weight of expectation that entails, Maya appears seemingly unmoved.
“Not all pressure is bad pressure,” she said.
“For me, knowing that my family is very successful, I think that puts a lot of pressure on me, to set myself goals, to try to strive to be the best I can be.
“It’s not pressure like if I lose or get eliminated, I feel like my family won’t talk to me or I’ll bring shame to the Brady family name.
“It’s just good pressure. I love using the last name. I’m really proud of it.”
Knee-deep in her fifth and final season with the Bruins, Maya recently admitted that she “considers” continuing her playing career after college, with the goal of representing Team USA at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
“Because we’re so far away it’s hard to say ‘I’m going to play in the Olympics,’ but I’ve definitely thought about it,” she said. UCLA athletics.
Maya later explained that the prospect of becoming an Olympic athlete is incomparable to any other experience, calling it “every athlete’s ultimate goal.”
“I think it would be an amazing opportunity, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” she continued.
Regardless of whether Maya becomes an Olympian or not, her status as a UCLA legend is already solidified with her 71 home runs, the second most in school history, according to ESPN.
