CHICAGO Bears rookie Caleb Williams has sparked one of the NFL’s biggest rivalries.

The first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft is expected to breathe life into the franchise.

And one of the things he will be judged on is how he performs against the Green Bay Packers.

Chicago has lost 10 consecutive times to its NFC North rival and has tasted victory on just three occasions since 2010.

One of the reasons behind Green Bay’s recent dominance is their quarterback play, thanks to legends Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, as well as rising star Jordan Love.

But Williams, 22, will look to change that and has plenty of weapons at his disposal with Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze joining DJ Moore in a large, stacked room.

He was seen joining fans singing “Green Bay Sucks” at the Old Crow Smokehouse in a viral social media clip.

But not all supporters were interested in seeing him fan the flames.

“Let’s beat Green Bay a few times first, that’s bad,” one posted.

“I’ll be bookmarking this for later,” added a Packers fan.

Plenty jumped in to defend Williams.

“No, it’s not,” replied one. “Caleb Williams has never lost to the Green Bay Packers. Do you think he cares about past history?”

“My favorite CW clip so far. Now let’s go back,” added another.

Travis Kelce praised Williams as having a “game-changing mentality” and compared him to Patrick Mahomes.

Speaking on his New Heights podcast, Kelce said Mahomes’ college highlights at Texas Tech and Williams’ college highlights at USC have a lot in common.

“It was a lot of feeling, a lot of confidence to throw that thing down the field and let your guys make plays,” Kelce said.

“He has that game-changing mentality where at any moment he can kill you with his arm, and he can do some things with his legs and run the ball – a lot of QBs can’t do that, who play really well.”

The Bears had a disappointing 2023 campaign, finishing 7-10 and missing the playoffs.

“I thought he was an absolute stud,” Kelce added.

“I think Caleb goes out there and makes them a better football team, I really do.”

Williams is not lacking in confidence and told fans his big goals after being drafted.

“My goal is to get as far as possible in February,” he said.

“It is an honor and a privilege. I care about the fans, the community, the players and the coaches and I care about the Chicago Bears.”
