TRAVIS Kelce won’t quickly forget his last trip to the White House.

The All-Pro tight end, who is currently dating pop sensation Taylor Swift, recently went to Washington D.C. to celebrate his Super Bowl LVIII win with President Joe Biden.

Travis’ final trip to the White House in 2023 went viral after he took the podium while the president was busy in an attempt to address the nation.

“So I was expecting this,” he said before being pulled aside by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who apologized on his teammate’s behalf.

But it appears Travis’ visit got off to a rocky start long before the infamous podium incident.

In most recent episode of the New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother and former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason, Travis revealed that he landed in hot water upon arriving in Washington in 2023.

He explained that he “got shit” for arriving with an expired identity card, something he tried to avoid the second time.

“I made sure — because of what happened last time and how embarrassed I was about going to the White House with an expired ID — I made sure I brought my passport this time so it would show that I was a citizen of Missouri.” Travis said.

“I was official, I was legitimate, and I was doing things the right way.”

Travis then revealed that after entering, “four or five Secret Service members” told him, “If you come up to the podium, we are authorized to shock you.”

Later, while posing on the podium alongside his teammates, Travis was called by the President, who invited him to address the nation as he wanted to do last time.

“My fellow Americans, it is a pleasure to see you all once again,” he said.

“I’m not going to lie, President Biden, they told me if I came here I would get shocked, so I’m going back to my seat.”

However, it appears that whilst exciting, the viral moment was extremely nerve-wracking for the 34-year-old.

“I felt Tasers pointed at me when I was there the whole time,” Travis joked.

“That’s why I was up there [telling myself], ‘Don’t make quick movements. Rest assured.'”

Fortunately, it appears Travis has finally smoothed things over with the Secret Service, receiving a challenge coin and badge, which he wore on the podium.

The Chiefs will begin their quest for the first three-peat in Super Bowl history in September when they host the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1.

A Super Bowl LIX victory in New Orleans would not only be Kansas City’s third in a row, but also its fourth in six years.

The Chiefs did not visit the White House after their LIV victory due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
