NATE Burleson has landed a major new role.
The former NFL star has co-hosted CBS Mornings since 2021.
And he will host Hollywood Squares when it launches on the network in January.
The iconic show will feature Drew Barrymore as its centerpiece.
Hollywood Squares debuted on NBC in 1966 – two contestants play tic-tac-toe to win money and prizes.
The board is a vertical stack of cubes occupied by celebrities, who are asked questions while contestants judge the accuracy of their answers to win.
Some classics never go out of style #HollywoodSquares”, Burleson posted in X.
“@DrewBarrymore can’t wait… Be there or be Square!”
“Congratulations!!!! Protecting the bag left and right”, commented a fan.
“This is amazing! I love game shows! Congratulations,” added another.

Burleson, 42, played in the NFL for 11 years before moving into broadcasting.
And the rising star had some advice for Tom Brady as the quarterback enters the booth.
“I’ll just say: Approach the media the same way you approach football,” the former wide receiver said.
“He will take control exactly as he did on the field. Tom Brady is one of those guys who gives everything he has to everything he is doing and pursuing.
“So I know [that] Tom Brady, when he gets in the booth, he’s going to be perfectly fine.”
Brady is set to replace Greg Olsen on Fox NFL’s main announcing team.
But Olsen insists he won’t give up without a fight.
“My aspirations are still to be the No. 1 analyst, whether at Fox or elsewhere,” he said.
“That will never change as long as I do this. I’m not just happy to be there.
“I’m not just happy to have a place. I want the highest place, and I want it whenever the opportunity allows, and I will never stop working for it.
“I feel more motivated to do it now than ever before.”
Brady’s first game in the booth will be the Cleveland Browns at the Dallas Cowboys.
“Awesome, obviously having the Cowboys is a big draw,” Brady said.
“As America’s team, it’s going to be a little difficult for me to say this all the time, in this new role I know how important the Cowboys are to this network.
“They have great stories, Dak Prescott, let’s see if he finally makes it through.
“One of the great defenders, Micah Parsons, what a great player he is, and coach [Mike] McCarthy.”
