NEW England Patriots number three pick Drake Maye showed he could throw more than a football earlier this week – and now fans are comparing him to a dodgeball legend.
During the Patriots’ day off on Tuesday, the rookie QB joined the team to participate in community events in Massachusetts.
Maye visited the Perkins Community Center/Lee School in Dorchester and was joined by rookie receiver Ja’Lynn Polk, head coach Jerod Mayo and others.
Maye and her teammates joined forces and competed in some dodgeball games against the students.
At the clip appearing in Xformerly known as Twitter, Maye can be seen hitting one of the kids during the game.
Fans flooded the comments section with one writing, “No mercy.”
“Drake Maye is like that,” another fan commented with a photo of dodgeball great White Goodman.
While another fan commented with a gif of the legendary Goodman.
White Goodman is a fictional character that actor Ben Stiller plays in the hit film Dodgeball.
Goodman is known for his arrogance and bold personality in the film.

The next time the team will take the field this summer will be at the end of July for training camp.
Drake Maye was selected with the third overall pick by the New England Patriots in this year’s NFL Draft.
Maye played at North Carolina throughout his college career and threw for over 8,000 yards and 63 touchdowns.
He led the Tar Heels to a 6-0 record before the team lost four of its final six regular-season games with him at the helm.
The Patriots hope Maye succeeds after the team failed to show any improvement under previous QB Mac Jones.
Jones was selected with the 15th overall pick by the team in the 2021 NFL Draft.
The Alabama QB had an 18-24 record during his time with the team and was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It’s unclear if Maye will start next season, as the Patriots have journeyman QB Jacoby Brissett under contract.
Brissett is in his second stint with the Patriots after the team selected him in the third round of the 2016 draft.
Maye will be paid $36 million over four years, including a $23.5 million signing bonus.
New England will decide whether or not to exercise the 21-year-old’s fifth-year option in 2027.
