College pays tribute
Southern Miss mourned the death of Daniels Jr. writing, “The University of Southern Mississippi and the Athletics Department mourn the loss of MJ Daniels, whose life was lost Tuesday night during an incident that occurred off campus.
“We send our sincere condolences to his family, friends and teammates during this difficult time.”
MJ Daniels died at age 21
University of Southern Mississippi DB Marcus Daniels Jr was shot to death Tuesday night at the Ivy Row housing complex on Ivy Row Circle.
The college star was just 21 years old.
