While the former USC Trojan and Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback has yet to sign a contract with the Chicago Bears, he recently announced another business venture.

Williams announced Wednesday that he has founded his own investment firm, 888 Midas.

The company will look to invest in private equity, venture capital and real estate, in line with its website.

The 22-year-old revealed in a statement that he “always planned to be an athlete and businessman”, according to Commercial Wire.

“As I achieved many of my athletic goals and dreams, multiple business opportunities also arose,” he explained.

“Athletes are often inundated and distracted by these opportunities.

“To eliminate the potential for distraction, it was important for me to immediately establish a business operation with established, trusted partners and advisors I have known for years to strategically leverage global market ventures.

“This partnership will allow me to focus all of my time and energy on learning professional football and bringing the Lombardi Trophy back to Chicago where it belongs.

“I am very excited to have 888 Midas working for me and for its expected growth as an investment and advisory entity in the coming years.”

Williams’ aforementioned partners and advisors include Sherif Guirgis, Ross Walker, John Terzian and Lew Wolff.

They bring with them experience across a range of sectors, from investment to real estate, creative industries and sports franchise ownership and management.

Williams also brings plenty of experience in the business world, having made the most of his fame while at USC through Name, Image and Likeness deals.

Deals with brands like Wendy’s, Beats By Dre, Dr Pepper, United Airlines and Playstation, among others, saw him earn around $10 million while with the Trojans, according to Atlético.

As for the deal with the Bears, Williams, who does not have an agent, seemed relaxed about negotiations, according to the Chicago Tribune.

“I haven’t been concentrating [the contract],” he said.
