KANSAS City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had a special message for fans after receiving his third championship ring.
The two-time NFL MVP, 28, sat next to Chiefs star Travis Kelce, 34, during Thursday’s ring ceremony.
However, Kansas City’s stars weren’t able to get the new shine on their fingers right away.
They had to wait until they learned the lock code for the red Chiefs-branded boxes placed on the table in front of them during the plush event at the Nelson-Atkins Museum.
As soon as a slot machine-themed video revealed the code to be 777, the Chiefs stars rushed to retrieve the ring from the box.
“Who’s going to be first?” Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, can be heard screaming in the video she uploaded as an Instagram Story.
The Chiefs quarterback opened the box ahead of Kelce.
After they both put the new ring on their fingers, the Chiefs super duo posed for photos together, showing off all three rings they won together for Kansas City.
Mahomes later shared a photo of himself holding the red box open with the three rings in his right hand.
“We’re not done yet,” he captioned the photo, shared as an Instagram Story.
