KANSAS City Chiefs defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs has been arrested for the second time since May, arrest records show.
The 27-year-old NFL player was signed to the Chiefs’ practice squad in January and signed to a reserve/future contract after Super Bowl 58.
Buggs was charged with second-degree domestic violence and robbery.
Court records reveal Bugg was released on $5,000 bail.
Last month, Buggs was charged with two misdemeanors in an animal cruelty case.
One of the charges concerned Buggs’ alleged mistreatment of two dogs, as one of them was allegedly “on the back porch surrounded by feces, with no access to food or water.”
The other dog was reportedly “locked in a metal cage in direct sunlight with no access to food or water,” according to Tuscaloosa. Correction.
One of the canines was later sacrificed.
Buggs turned himself in to police in relation to the charges.
However, Buggs’ lawyer said the charges were part of a larger “subversive campaign” to force the closure of a hookah lounge owned by the NFL veteran in Tuscaloosa.
