JAYLEN Waddle doesn’t hesitate to give credit to his teammates for his growth as a player.

After signing a massive three-year, $84.5 million extension with the Miami Dolphins, Waddle revealed how important it is to have a mentor like Tyreek Hill by his side.

Waddle was a star when he entered the league, being selected with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

He instantly made a huge impact with the Dolphins, recording 1,015 yards and six touchdowns in his rookie year.

His 104 receptions set the record for most by a rookie wide receiver.

Waddle’s production exploded during his 2022 sophomore season, the first year he played alongside Hill.

That season, Waddle threw for 1,356 yards with eight touchdowns. His 18.1 yards per reception led the NFL.

Together in 2022, Hill and Waddle have combined for 3,066 yards, the third-most by a receiving duo.

They had another spectacular season in 2023, racking up 2,813 yards.

Waddle explained how partnering with Hill has changed his game and how he can learn from his daily activities.

“It’s great,” Waddle told The US Sun.

“For me, seeing someone that I used to watch in high school and college and joining him and seeing how he does his job day to day.

“Whether it’s how he eats, his preparation for games, what makes him a great player and obviously a Hall of Fame player.”

Waddle said he is always by Hill’s side to absorb everything he can learn from the superstar receiver.

“Having someone like that in my class really allows me to be there for them and learn from them,” Waddle said.

“It’s fundamental for me.”

Waddle is now signed for the 2028 season and Hill is signed for the 2026 season.

The biggest issue facing the Dolphins is the future of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Tua is playing out the 2024 season on his fifth-year option and is ready for a big extension.

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence recently signed a contract worth $55 million per year.

It is expected that Tua will be able to see a deal of equal or greater value.

Waddle isn’t worried about his quarterback’s deal and thinks he can get the deal done.

“I think eventually, if both parties make sense, the deal will get done,” Waddle said.

“The team really believes he’s our guy and ultimately it’s his team.”
