MIAMI Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is transitioning to becoming a veteran player for the team.
After playing three seasons with the Dolphins, Waddle signed a three-year contract.

Waddle is under contract through the 2028 season after signing his three-year, $84.5 million contract.
With so much time ahead of him with the Dolphins, Waddle is turning his attention to establishing himself among the young players.
Waddle is using the experience from his rookie year to pass on the lessons he learned to current Dolphins rookies.
“I do it like I did when I was young,” Waddle told The US Sun.
“I’ve been in their shoes, in this league trying to make a name for themselves.
“So whenever I can help them or guide them in the right direction, I will do my best.”
The Dolphins selected two wide receivers in the 2024 NFL Draft.
With pick No. 184 in the sixth round, the Dolphins selected Malik Washington from the University of Virginia.

In the seventh round, they chose Tahj Washington with the 241st pick.
Waddle praised his new teammates and also explained how important it is for him to spend time with them outside of football activities.
“They’re great players, but they’re also great people,” Waddle said.
“So any chance we have to get outside of football, outside of the facility, is important.”
During football activities, the Dolphins perform some activities to help the offensive players come together.
Waddle shared that the team monitors their speed during all football activities to help crown the fastest player each week.
“It’s fun, you have all these speed guys out there,” Waddle said.
“All these different weapons and playmakers around.
“We do GPS in almost every training session and game, so usually whoever has the fastest GPS wins the crown for the week.
“We are trying to dethrone the crown every week.”
The Dolphins are the fastest team in the NFL, recording six of the 10 fastest runs in the 2023 season.
Tyreek Hill topped the list of dolphins with a fastest speed of 35 km/h.
Waddle and his young receiver protégés will look to dethrone that speed in the 2024 season.
