Kelce hung up his cleats after 13 years in an emotional press conference.

His fame skyrocketed thanks to his successful podcast New Heights with his brother Travis.

Jason still found time to go to the gym and lose the extra pounds he carried from his career as an offensive lineman.

“I weighed 295 for most of my NFL career,” said Kelce GQ Sports.

“Right now, I’m about 277 years old. I’m almost 20 pounds lighter.”

Kelce has suffered wear and tear from injuries throughout his grueling football career.

“I had reconstruction on my right knee twice, surgery on my hand, surgery on my groin. I broke my toes,” he said.

Now that he has left the NFL behind, the 36-year-old is already looking to lose more weight in the future.

“I don’t want to get too small,” he continued.

“I think a lot of guys, especially forwards, lose a lot of weight and look like bobbleheads because their necks get really small but their heads stay the same size.

“So for me, I feel like for some reason 250 to 260 feels like I’ll still be big and happy with the way I look without having a six-pack.

“It’s hard to imagine another 20 pounds coming off, to be honest with you.

“But my back is already better. My knees are better now.

“So hopefully another 20 pounds will make this much more playable with my kids.”

Kelce was a 2017 Super Bowl champion and has appeared in seven Pro Bowls during his illustrious career.

‘It was a short retirement!’

Jason Kelce didn’t stay retired from the NFL for long.

The former Philadelphia Eagles forward opted out after the 2023 season.

But he will be part of ESPN’s Monday Night Football coverage in 2024.

Kelce will appear on Monday Night Countdown from 6pm to 8pm ET each week, as well as during the halftime show.

“It turns out it was a short retirement!” he joked.

“ESPN was a consistent presence in our home growing up and the network helped shape who I am and my love for all sports.

“Appearing now on the same screen is a full circle moment.

“And I mean it’s Monday Night Football! And I’m ready to play football.”

He has been a hot property for broadcasters since leaving football just three months ago.

The Ohio native signed a one-year contract with ESPN ahead of the 2024 season.

Kelce will take his analyst bow on Monday night’s countdown.

“I’m nervous. And I think that’s good,” he told Whiskey Ginger Podcast.

“Every game I’ve played in my life, I’ve played very well [in]I was nervous, at least a healthy amount.

“It doesn’t get to the point where you think you can’t do it, but there is a healthy respect for your opponent… whenever I’ve played a really good player, I’ve always felt like I played better, because all week I was really into preparing for that guy.”
