THE Pat McAfee Show will be broadcast live in North Carolina as his soccer team takes on JJ Watt’s Burnley FC for a $1 million prize in The Soccer Tournament (TST).

Last week, the ESPN presenter revealed that he would field his own team, CONCAFA Soccer Club, in the competition, which will take place from June 5th to 10th.

And McAfee, 36, appears to be all in on his surprising new professional venture.

The retired NFL punter will personally oversee his team’s progress – alongside his feel-good team.

The Pat McAfee Show is scheduled to be broadcast live from WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, during the first three days of the seven-a-side tournament.

And morning pass holders will be able to visit the set and watch the recording, according to TST findings ticket distributor.

The competition was created by former TV producer and writer Jon Mugar last year.

Mugar launched it after witnessing the success of his open-to-all model with the Basketball Tournament (TBT), which began in 2014.

Connecticut-based Newtown Pride FC won the first edition of the tournament, defeating Canada’s SLC FC 2-0 in the final.

TST 2024 will feature men’s and women’s events, both promising the same $1 million prize pool.

The men’s tournament will consist of 48 teams, while the women’s tournament will involve eight participants.

Some important names in football secured a place in the competition.

Former FC Barcelona star Sergio Aguero will field his team, as will Manchester United icon Nani.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund and Villarreal will join Watt’s Burnley among the European football clubs set to participate in the TST.

McAfee badmouthed the NFL legend after announcing that his CONCAFA SC, coached by former US national team goalkeeper Tony Meola, would be part of the competition.

“I just want to let you Burnley boys, [know] … my team [is] stacked,” the ESPN host told Watt last week.

Our friendship officially ended until after June 8th I believe

JJ Watt after Pat McAfee revealed he would put a team on TST

“I will be announcing the lineup next week.

“We have names.”

McAfee added: “Good luck to your Burnley team being beaten by CONCAFA Soccer Club.”

But Watt apparently welcomed the challenge.

“Our friendship officially ended until after June 8th, I believe,” he told McAfee.

“I hate you.”
