A SCANDAL occurred when a college football player was arrested after being pulled over.

Although Ollie Gordon II was taken into custody, he was released on bail.

Who is Ollie Gordon II?

Born on January 15, 2004, Ollie Gordon II is an American college football player from Fort Worth, Texas.

After graduating from Trinity High School, Gordon enrolled at Oklahoma State University.

He began playing football in high school and continued through college.

While studying at the latter, he became a running back for the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Since playing for Oklahoma State, Gordon has scored 20 rushing touchdowns.

In 2023, he was recognized as that year’s Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.

Why was Gordon II arrested?

On June 30, 2024, Gordon was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

His statement also lists carrying an open container of alcohol, failure to maintain single lane traffic and speeding as causes of his arrest.

That Sunday morning, he was stopped when police noticed his vehicle repeatedly swerving into another lane.

Gordon was also caught speeding 17mph over the 65mph speed limit.

The football player had two open containers of alcohol.

Gordon refused a field sobriety test and confessed to consuming an alcoholic beverage.

As he was detained at the Cleveland County Jail, his blood alcohol level was recorded as 0.10 and 0.11.

On July 1, 2024, he posted bail and was released from prison.
