The Kelce brothers discussed their off-season plans at the start of the show.

And Jason, 36, revealed they put the mic away until the second half of August because of preparations for the Kansas City Chiefs season.

“We had a couple months off from podcasting because in three weeks Travis will be in the middle of training camp,” said the retired Philadelphia Eagles center. he said.

“And let me tell you, there is not enough time to make a podcast, especially the best podcast in the world.

“He will be busy, focused on football, getting in shape for next season.

“So we’re going to be off for about two months.”

Travis, 34, seemed eager to start season three as soon as possible.

“I’m willing to get him back as soon as we finish training camp,” the Chiefs tight end said.

New Heights has been a tremendous success.

The show won Podcast of the Year this year.

It also helped boost Jason’s broadcasting career.

The Eagles legend impressed TV executives with his on-air charisma, leading to several lucrative analyst job offers once he ended his career, The US Sun reported in March.

“When you see him speaking on his podcast, you see someone who is very good at speaking into the microphone and being very direct about his opinions,” an NFL source said at the time.

“He has millions of great stories to tell as he has played with many, many players and worked with many staff members in his long career.

‘It was a short retirement!’

Jason Kelce didn’t stay retired from the NFL for long.

The former Philadelphia Eagles forward opted out after the 2023 season.

But he will be part of ESPN’s Monday Night Football coverage in 2024.

Kelce will appear on Monday Night Countdown from 6pm to 8pm ET each week, as well as during the halftime show.

“It turns out it was a short retirement!” he joked.

“ESPN was a consistent presence in our home growing up and the network helped shape who I am and my love for all sports.

“Appearing now on the same screen is a full circle moment.

“And I want to say it’s Monday Night Football! And I’m ready to play football.”

“You have guys who were born to be TV commentators and I think Jason is one of those guys. He could become a TV star very quickly.”

Jason eventually signed a three-year contract with ESPN worth $1.8 million annually.

He also received a $1 million signing bonus.

Meanwhile, Travis opened up about his special appearance during one of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows in London.

The Chiefs carried their pop star girlfriend onto the stage as part of the choreography.

And he was apparently very nervous about abandoning Taylor.

“Listen, the only thing I told myself is, ‘Don’t drop the baby. Don’t drop that — don’t drop Taylor on the way to this damn couch,’” he said during the New Heights season finale.

“The golden rule was, ‘Don’t let Taylor take you to the couch.'”
