PATRICK Mahomes’ mother, Randi, pointed out that the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback isn’t all roses.
Mahomes, 52, spoke out about the hate his son and the rest of the family receive because of the NFL star’s fame.
In an appearance in Mom Game PodcastRandi said that while she is thrilled to see Patrick, 28, succeed, the seven-year NFL career was one of the most difficult periods of her life.
In large part, this is due to all the nasty things strangers say about her loved ones — and even herself.
The Texas native said she was shocked by the amount of criticism she encountered on social media following one of Kansas City’s Super Bowl triumphs.
“After we won the Super Bowl a few years ago, I kind of came back and was just looking at social media trying to fall asleep,” Randi said.
“And I looked and someone gave me so much hate for me and my children, all three of them.
And I looked at their social media and thought… this is a beautiful American family.
“Why would this mother or father say that?”
Randi said she witnessed people getting along really well with Patrick’s siblings, Jackson and Mia, after meeting them.

But, she continued, many others “try to tear down everything else” after seeing the two-time NFL MVP “on this pedestal” alone.
“I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy,” Randi said.
“I said I don’t wish that on anyone because as a mother you don’t want to read or see things about your children.
“Especially when you know it’s not true.”
Patrick’s fame brings many reasons to smile.
He recently struck a special deal with his alma mater, Texas Tech, to partner with Adidas, which the Chiefs star represents as an athlete partner.

The Gladiator quarterback’s logo will be displayed in the center of the Red Raiders’ football field after the sportswear manufacturer becomes the program’s official apparel supplier.
The school will also release co-branded gear with the emblem as part of the deal.
“I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for Texas Tech,” Patrick said.
“And I’m proud to have helped bring Red Raider Nation into the three-stripes family.
“Today is just the beginning of an incredible partnership with Adidas.”
Texas Tech signed with Adidas after ending a two-decade relationship with Under Armour.
