AHEAD of his second season as coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, Deion Sanders’ players shared their best impressions of the NFL Hall of Famer.

The Buffaloes’ preparations for the 2024 season are well underway, with the Black and Gold Day Spring Game scheduled for April 27.

After a recent practice, the Buffaloes filmed players and coaches doing their best Sanders impressions as he walked off the field.

“Hey dog”, “I don’t have time today” and “That’s bullshit!” were some of the Sanders most quoted lines in the Instagram video.

While his son and quarterback Shedeur Sanders said, “Hey dog, you need to slow down, man, you need to slow down, you’re moving too fast, dog, slow down.”

But it seems that while fans enjoyed seeing the players’ love for their coach, they were missing a player who supposedly has an unparalleled ability to emulate the NFL legend.

“Where was Shilo [Sanders] he does the best impression of the coach,” read one comment.

“We need a Pt. 2 with Shilo,” said a second.

Another joked: “In conclusion, Coach’s favorite word is ‘Dawg’ and his favorite term is ‘Bull Junk’.”

As another added: “We learned from this that the coach definitely had time today.”

Sanders’ son and star safety Shilo is entering his second season with the Buffaloes since transferring from Jackson State.

Both Shilo and Shedeur are expected to enter the 2025 NFL Draft, with the latter expected to go early in the first round.

But it’s not just their star quarterback who could be selected on Day 1, but also cornerback and wideout Travis Hunter.

Another of Sanders’ former stars at Jackson State who followed him to Colorado, the two-way weapon is also a likely first-round pick.

And in a recent interview, Sanders suggested he would allow Shedeur and Hunter to be drafted by one of six teams.

Sanders said he expects both to be chosen “one through four,” adding, “One of them will be one.

“And the last one will not be behind four.”

As for where he saw them land, he highlighted the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons.

Except for the Eagles, Sanders spent time with each of these franchises during his storied NFL career.

However, before any preliminary talks can begin in earnest for any of Colorado’s current stars, their focus will first be exclusively on improving on a disappointing 2023 season.

After starting last season 3-0, the Buffaloes finished 4-8 as injuries and a lack of roster depth took their toll — despite the best efforts of Heisman Trophy favorite Shedeur.

Now, having added star power this off-season through the draft and transfer portal, expectations for Sanders and Co. will be high in the fall.
