McCoy spent 12 seasons in the NFL as an elite running back.

The 36-year-old won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs in 2019 before ending his career in Tampa Bay a year later.

Now a successful analyst at FS1, McCoy was asked Friday who would be close to ending the AFC’s dominance in Kansas City.

Under quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs have won back-to-back rings and are aiming for a third straight Super Bowl next season.

McCoy was not impressed after his colleague Ric Bucher picked the Cincinnati Bengals to be the Chiefs’ biggest opponent.

“I feel like we’re not respecting the Chiefs enough,” McCoy he said.

“Like, we’re talking about the Kansas City Chiefs. We know that?

“About to be a triple-peat? That’s what they’re fighting for.”

“The Chiefs were winning with all these special players. Then they got rid of Tyreek Hill, right?” He continued.

“No one thought they would return to the championship.

“So in [2023] their team wasn’t that good for me. We were talking about the Chiefs looking so bad.

“And then they win again and we’re back in the same position.”
