A SHOCK car crash in Maryland claimed the lives of football stars Isaiah Hazel, Anthony Lytto and Khyree Jackson.

The three high school football teammates died Saturday morning after their Dodge Charger was struck by another car trying to pass them.

Who were football stars Isaiah Hazel, Anthony Lytto and Khyree Jackson?

Isaiah Hazel, 23, was a former defensive end for the Charlotte 49ers college football team.

Khyree Jackson, 24, played college football at Alabama and Oregon and was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings into the NFL in 2024.

AJ Lytton, 24, played two seasons at Florida State and one season at Penn State.

The trio played football together at Wise High School, where they won a state championship, before each played college football.

Jackson, from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, was previously a starting cornerback at the University of Oregon before joining the Vikings.

He played for the Alabama Crimson Tide but was cut by Nick Saban for undisclosed reasons.

He was drafted in the fourth round by the Vikings as the 108th overall pick.

During a two-year break from football, he almost pursued a career playing the basketball video game NBA 2K.

Around 3 a.m. Saturday, the three men were struck by Cori Clingman, a 23-year-old Maryland woman who was speeding while changing lanes on northbound Route 4 in Prince George’s County, police said. State of Maryland.

Their engine was then forced off the road and crashed into several tree stumps, with Hazel dying at the scene.

The Charlotte Observer reported that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash and charges were pending.

The passengers in the Infiniti and Impala emerged from the accident unharmed and with relatively little damage to their vehicles.

The US Sun exclusively revealed that Clingman had previously been charged with driving over the speed limit.

Minnesota Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell said in a statement: “I am absolutely devastated by this news.

“Khyree brought an infectious energy to our facility. His confidence and engaging personality immediately attracted his teammates.

“In our short time together, it was evident that Khyree would become a tremendous professional football player, but what was most impressive was his desire to become the best person he could be for his family and those around him.”

Isaiah has been described as having a great sense of humor and a better work ethic.

Khyree brought an infectious energy to our facility. His confidence and engaging personality immediately attracted his teammates.

Charlotte 49ers head coach Biff Poggi said in a statement, “We are heartbroken today with the news of Isaiah Hazel’s untimely passing.”

“Our program mourns his loss and our thoughts and prayers are with Isaiah’s family during this tragic time. All of Isaiah’s hopes and dreams were still before him, and I pray that his family receives strength now more than ever.”

AJ was remembered by Penn State in an X post: “The Penn State Football Family mourns the loss of former Nittany Lion, AJ Lytton. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, school and everyone involved in the tragedy.”
